Fraud incidents on the Internet and via e-mail are on the rise. Fraudsters are improperly using the GLS name to send false communications to private individuals and companies. GLS has taken steps to help users recognise fraudulent SMS messages and thus reduce the phenomenon of ‘Phishing’. From now on, thanks to the RCS (Rich Communication Services) protocol, users with Android-based mobile phones that are compatible with RCS reception and have a telephone operator that supports the service, will be able to verify the correctness of the sender of SMS messages by checking a blue tick next to the logo in the contact information.
